Modi College organises Vigilance Awareness Week

 

Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala today organised a special interactive session with central vigilance commission officials and DMW team to mark the Vigilance Awareness Week-2018. This programme was organised in pursuit of the vision of the government of India to make a ‘New India by the year 2022’, which is the 75th Anniversary of our independence. In this programme, chief vigilance inspector Sh. Arun Kumar Gupta and Sh. Sanjeev Kumar Kalia interacted with the students. College Principal Dr. Khushvinder Kumar welcomed the officers and said that the problem of corruption is deeply rooted in our socio-political life and should be engaged critically through such debates and discussions. He appreciated the efforts of DMW team for initiating such programmes. Sh. Sanjeev Kumar Kalia discussed the objectives and motives of this innovative initiative. An oath ceremony was also observed during this programme. Chief Vigilance officer Sh. Arun Kumar Gupta told that government of India is working hard to control this social menace and vigilance commission is committed to make India a corruption free nation. He also appealed the students to engage public with this anti-corruption movement of the government.

In elocution competition on the topic of ‘Eradicate Corruption, build a new India’ nine students participated. In this competition first position was won by Damanjot Kaur (BCom-II), second position won by Ankit Goyal (BSc-III) and third position was won by Nishtha Goyal (BSc-III). The winners were awarded with cash prizes and certificates.

Dr. Shailendra Sidhu, Dr. Bhanvi and Dr. Rupinder Sharma acted as judges for this competition. Dr. Rupinder Singh conducted the stage and Prof. Shivani and Prof. Poonam Dhiman were time-keepers.

Vice Principal Dr. Baljinder Kaur presented the vote of thanks. She said it is important to be truthful and honest in our public and private lives to make our nation corruption free. Guests were honoured with mementoes. All the head of departments, the staff members, DMW Team members and a large number of students were present on this occasion.

 

 

ਸਥਾਨਕ ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਵਿਖੇ ਸੈਂਟਰਲ ਵਿਜੀਲੈਂਸ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਤਹਿਤ ਮਨਾਏ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ‘ਵਿਜੀਲੈਂਸ ਜਾਗਰੂਕਤਾ ਸਪਤਾਹ’ ਅਧੀਨ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਰੇਲਵੇ ਦੇ ਡੀ.ਐਮ.ਡਬਲਿਊ. ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਨਾਲ ‘ਭ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟਾਚਾਰ’ ਵਿਸ਼ੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਭਾਸ਼ਣ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਾ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ। ਭਾਰਤ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਆਜ਼ਾਦੀ ਦੀ 75ਵੀਂ ਵਰ੍ਹੇਗੰਢ ਸਾਲ 2022 ਤੱਕ ‘ਭ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟਾਚਾਰ ਮੁਕਤ ਨਿਊ ਇੰਡੀਆ’ ਦੇ ਟੀਚੇ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਰਪਿਤ ਇਸ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਡੀ.ਐਮ.ਡਬਲਿਊ. ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਚੀਫ਼ ਵਿਜੀਲੈਂਸ ਇੰਸਪੈਕਟਰ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਅਰੁਨ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਗੁਪਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਸੰਜੀਵ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਕਾਲੀਆ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਤੌਰ ‘ਤੇ ਹਾਜ਼ਿਰ ਹੋਏ। ਕਾਲਜ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਖੁਸ਼ਵਿੰਦਰ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਆਏ ਮਹਿਮਾਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਵਾਗਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਤੇ ਡੀ.ਐਮ.ਡਬਲਿਊ. ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਜਾਗਰੂਕਤਾ ਭਰਪੂਰ ਯਤਨਾ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਭ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟਾਚਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਵਰਤਮਾਨ ਸਮੇਂ ਦੀ ਵੱਡੀ ਚੁਣੌਤੀ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਹੋਣ ਦੀ ਆਸ ਜਤਾਈ। ਇਸ ਭਾਸ਼ਣ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਿਰਕਤ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਚੀਫ਼ ਵਿਜੀਲੈਂਸ ਇੰਸਪੈਕਟਰ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਅਰੁਨ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਗੁਪਤਾ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਮਾਨਦਾਰ ਸੋਚ ਅਤੇ ਭ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟਾਚਾਰ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਅਹਿਤ ਹੀ ਇਸ ਬਹੁ-ਪਰਤੀ ਸਮਾਜਿਕ ਬਿਮਾਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਖ਼ਤਮ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ। ਦੂਜੇ ਮਹਿਮਾਨ ਵਜੋਂ ਸ਼ਾਮਿਲ ਹੋਏ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਸੰਜੀਵ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਟਾਫ ਤੋਂ ਭਾਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਭ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟਾਚਾਰ ਮੁਕਤ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਸਹੁੰ ਚੁਕਾਈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਭਾਰਤ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੱਧਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਭ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟਾਚਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਨੱਥ ਪਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਵਚਨਬੱਧ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਜਨਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੱਧਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਇਸ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜਨ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਰੂਰਤ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ‘ਭ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟਾਚਾਰ ਮਿਟਾਉ – ਨਵਾਂ ਭਾਰਤ ਬਣਾਉ’ ਦੇ ਵਿਸ਼ੇ ਅਧੀਨ ਕੁੱਲ ਨੌ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਭਾਗ ਲਿਆ।

ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਏ ਫ਼ਸਵੇਂ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਦਮਨਜੋਤ ਕੌਰ (ਬੀ.ਕਾਮ. ਭਾਗ ਦੂਜਾ) ਨੇ ਪਹਿਲਾ, ਅੰਕਿਤਾ ਗੋਇਲ (ਬੀ.ਐਸ.ਸੀ. ਮੈਡੀਕਲ ਭਾਗ ਤੀਜਾ) ਨੇ ਦੂਜਾ ਅਤੇ ਨਿਸ਼ਠਾ ਗੋਇਲ (ਬੀ.ਐਸ.ਸੀ. ਮੈਡੀਕਲ ਭਾਗ ਤੀਜਾ) ਨੇ ਤੀਜਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤਾ। ਜੇਤੂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਗਦ ਇਨਾਮ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਣ-ਪੱਤਰ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਸਨਮਾਨਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੱਜਾਂ ਦੀ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਪ੍ਰੋ. (ਮਿਸਿਜ਼) ਸ਼ੈਲੇਂਦਰ ਸਿੱਧੂ, ਡਾ. ਭਾਨਵੀ ਅਤੇ ਡਾ. ਰੁਪਿੰਦਰ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਨੇ ਨਿਭਾਈ। ਡਾ. ਰੁਪਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਸਟੇਜ ਸੰਚਾਲਨ ਦਾ ਕਾਰਜ ਸੰਭਾਲਿਆ ਜਦੋਂਕਿ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਸ਼ਿਵਾਨੀ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਪੂਨਮ ਧੀਮਾਨ ਨੇ ਟਾਈਮ-ਕੀਪਰ ਦੀ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਨਿਭਾਈ।

ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਮਹਿਮਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਯਾਦ-ਚਿੰਨ੍ਹ ਵੀ ਭੇਟ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਵਾਈਸ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਬਲਜਿੰਦਰ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਧੰਨਵਾਦੀ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਕਹੇ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਵਿਭਾਗਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੁਖੀ, ਸਮੂਹ ਸਟਾਫ਼, ਡੀ.ਐਮ.ਡਬਲਿਊ. ਵਿਭਾਗੀ ਟੀਮ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਅਤੇ ਵੱਡੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਸ਼ਾਮਿਲ ਸਨ।
